This week we are reporting on Uzbekistan Airways increasing the number of flights to Almaty, Kyrgyzstan to grant the fifth freedom of the air to Malaysian airlines and more.

Uzbekistan Airways increased the number of passenger flights ex Tashkent to Almaty to 14 times per week

The flights are operated on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Friday

 

Rossiya Airlines to launch direct flights from St. Petersburg to Almaty (source)

Rossiya Airlines is set to operate direct passenger flights ex St. Petersburg to Almaty VV from June 1, 2024

Passenger flights will be operated 4 times per week on Airbus A319 equipment

 

Plans to connect Malaysia and Kyrgyzstan (source)

During the meeting between Kyrgyzstan's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Malaysia's Minister of Transport, an initiative of granting the fifth freedom of the air to Malaysian airlines was discussed

Officials expressed readiness to facilitate regular passenger flights and air cargo operations to strengthen political, trade, economic, and cultural exchanges
