This week we are reporting on Uzbekistan Airways to increase the number of domestic flights and start the IPO process as well as Humo Air to suspend domestic flights.

Uzbekistan Airways to increase the number of domestic flights (source)
● A national carrier, Uzbekistan Airways (HY) is set to increase the number of domestic passenger flights to 140 flights per week
● In addition to that, the airline is planning to operate regular flights from Fergana to Krasnoyarsk
Humo Air suspends domestic flights (source)
● Humo Air, a national low-cost airline will temporarily suspend domestic flights from 10 March 2024
● Domestic flights will resume at the beginning of April 2024 upon the arrival of new aircraft in Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan Airways to start IPO process (source)
● Uzbekistan Airways is set to start the IPO process by listing 51% of its shares on a stock exchange
● Additionally, the airline is planning to sell older aircraft with high fuel consumption and purchase more fuel-efficient aircraft, while unused and unprofitable aviation assets will be put up for sale
