Welcome to this week's edition of Uzbekistan Air Cargo Notes, the first and only newsletter focusing on the latest news and insights into the dynamic air cargo market of Uzbekistan and Central Asia. This week we are reporting on Air Astana resuming flights to Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan Airlines operating flights to Milan, and Azimuth Airlines plans to connect Sochi and Termez.

Air Cargo Trends

Air Astana resumed flights to Azerbaijan (source)

● Air Astana (KC) resumed regular passenger flights ex Almaty to Baku starting on 3 March 2024

● The flights will be operated twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays using Airbus A320 equipment

 

Turkmenistan Airlines inaugural flight to Milan (source)

Turkmenistan Airlines (T5) operated its first passenger flight ex Ashgabat to Milan on 7 March 2024

The regular passenger flights are operated twice a week on Boeing 777–800 aircraft

 

Azimuth to operate flights to Termez (source)

Azimuth (A4), a Russian airline is set to operate regular passenger flights ex Sochi to Termez VV from 1 April 2024

The flights will be operated once a week using Superjet-100 equipment
