Welcome to this week's edition of Uzbekistan Air Cargo Notes, the first and only newsletter focusing on the latest news and insights into the dynamic air cargo market of Uzbekistan and Central Asia. This week we are reporting on Geo Sky to operate flights from Tbilisi to Tashkent, a flight increase by Somon Air, and a new cargo transportation route.

Geo Sky to operate flights to Uzbekistan (source)

Georgian airline Geo Sky to operate passenger flights ex Tbilisi to Tashkent VV from 20 February 2024

Passenger flights will be operated twice a week on Boeing 737-300 equipment

 

Somon Air increased flights to Tashkent (source)

Somon Air a Tajik airline increased passenger flights ex Dushanbe to Tashkent VV to 3 flights per week

The flights are operated on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays using Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737-900 aircraft

 

Pobeda airline to connect St. Petersburg and Samarkand (source)

Pobeda airline is set to operate regular passenger flights ex St. Petersburg to Samarkand VV from 16 February 2024

The flights will be operating each Friday on Boeing 737-800 equipment



Other News

A new cargo route connecting China and Uzbekistan (source)

The Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan to open a new cargo transportation route linking Uzbekistan and Qingdao to fast-forward shipping services by road transport

The road carriers following the new route will be supported by visa issuance and provided with necessary international permit documentation for cross-border transportation, as stated by the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan
