Welcome to this week's edition of Uzbekistan Air Cargo Notes, the first and only newsletter focusing on the latest news and insights into the dynamic air cargo market of Uzbekistan and Central Asia. Uzbekistan Airways received new aircraft (source)

A new aircraft Airbus 320neo in a standard single-class configuration with a capacity carrying 186 passengers was welcomed with a water arch at Tashkent International Airport on 19 December 2023

The flag carrier plans to operate passenger flights from Tashkent and local cities using the new aircraft

 

The first low-cost airline in Uzbekistan "Humo Air" inaugural flight (source)

Humo Air operated its first-ever flight ex Tashkent to Nukus using Airbus A320 equipment on 5 December 2023

Nowadays, low-cost airlines operate direct flights from Tashkent to local cities such as Urgench, Nukus, Karshi, Samarkand VV

 

Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan to increase passenger flights (source)

Representatives of Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to increase passenger flights during negotiations held by the delegation of the Ministry of Transport with the Aviation Administration of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia within the framework of the ICAO event "ICAN–2023" 

Improving interconnectivity and satisfying increased passenger demand is the main goal of this agreement

CEVA Logistics to implement TIR procedure along the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Route (source)

CEVA Logistics aims to gain a competitive advantage by leveraging the TIR (Transports Internationaux Routiers) procedures along the route China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan to reduce the door-to-door (DTD) lead time to Almaty and Bishkek by 5 days and to Tashkent by 7 days

The China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan corridor operates on the TIR operation model and shows rapid growth in cross-border trucking
