Welcome to this week's edition of Uzbekistan Air Cargo Notes, the first and only newsletter focusing on the latest news and insights into the dynamic air cargo market of Uzbekistan and Central Asia. This week we are reporting on Uzbekistan Airways increasing the number of passenger flights to Nizhny Novgorod, Qazaq Air to connect Turkestan and Samarkand, and more.

AirAsia plans to operate flights to Bishkek (source)

During the meeting between the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan in Malaysia Anvar Anarbaeva and the Director of the Department of Global Policy and Government Relations of AirAsia Zamani Rafik, the officials discussed the launch of direct passenger and cargo flights between Kuala Lumpur and Bishkek

Zamani Rafik also expressed interest in expanding flight destinations to Kyrgyzstan to enhance tourism and trade capacity

 

Qazaq Air to connect Turkestan and Samarkand (source)

Qazaq Air will be operating direct passenger flights ex Turkestan to Samarkand VV starting on 2 June 2024

The flights will be operated on De-Havilland Dash 8-Q400 aircraft every Wednesday and Sunday

 

Uzbekistan Airways increased passenger flights to Nizhny Novgorod (source)

Uzbekistan Airways, a national carrier, increased the number of passenger flights ex Tashkent to Nizhny Novgorod VV to three flights per week

The flights are operated on Airbus A320 every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday
