Tashkent Airport is set to upgrade its arrivals area
Uzbekistan Airports announced plans to reconstruct the arrivals zone with a second overpass for cars and a 330-space parking lot, including EV charging stations
The first stage is set for completion by the end of October 2025, followed by integration of arrival and departure terminals
Namangan Airport is set to build new terminals
Cargo terminal with a daily capacity of 50,000 tons will be built by 2026, boosting exports and transit through the Fergana Valley in Uzbekistan
Construction of a new passenger terminal is also underway to handle growing traffic and international tourism

The first container train departed from Tashkent to Lanzhou via Kyrgyzstan and Kashgar, opening a direct link with China’s Gansu province

Uzbekistan fully implements three-step export system on rail
A new digital system has replaced the old nine-step export process with just three steps, making customs clearance faster and helping businesses save up to UZS 20 bn a year on brokerage services
In the first eight months of 2025, more than 516,000 freight railcars were processed under the system, 12% increase compared to last year
