Uzbekistan Airways expanded its network
Uzbekistan Airways launched nine scheduled passenger routes ex Tashkent, Andijan and Namangan in 2025 including new services to Madrid and Islamabad
The carrier restored multiple routes to Russia and Turkiye with flights gradually resuming between April and October 2025
Central Asian airlines found a new partner
Uzbekistan’s My Freighter and Kazakhstan’s SCAT airlines signed interline agreements with Air Serbia to enhance passenger and cargo connectivity to Europe
SCAT launched direct flights ex Astana, Kazakhstan to Belgrade, Serbia while My Freighter will use Belgrade as a transit hub for cargo distribution
Centrum Air is set to expand its fleet
Centrum Air private Uzbekistan`s airline will receive three Airbus A321neo aircraft in Q4 2027, leased from AerCap the world's largest aircraft leasing company, marking the lessor’s first deal in Uzbekistan
The new jets will support the airline’s expanding international network, including planned European routes ex Tashkent, Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan’s civil aviation fleet saw strong growth
Uzbekistan’s commercial aircraft fleet grew from 29 in 2019 to 108 in 2025, with the number of local airlines increasing from 2 to 17
The number of air routes rose from 77 in 2019 to 203 in 2025, including 185 international and 16 domestic destinations, in 2024 civil aviation carried 13.5 million passengers, 11 million internationally and 2.5 million domestically

Hyundai Rotem shipped first high-speed train to Uzbekistan
Hyundai Rotem delivered the first Korea-made high-speed trainset to Uzbekistan ahead of schedule, with arrival expected Jan–Feb 2026
Trains are designed for Uzbekistan’s conditions, featuring dustproof engineering, broad-gauge bogies and will operate on 1,286 km of routes including Tashkent–Bukhara
Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are set to boost daily rail traffic
Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan agreed to increase daily rail traffic to 35 trains including grain and food shipments
Uzbekistan will accept at least 10 grain trains and 5 food trains daily with round-the-clock operations to avoid delays
