CargoPoint expands into Kazakhstan
Uzbek logistics provider CargoPoint opened a new office in Almaty, Kazakhstan, strengthening its presence across the Central Asia corridor
The expansion establishes an additional gateway for cargo transit between China and Europe, complementing the company's existing routing via Tashkent
Uzbekistan among world's fastest-growing aviation markets
According to IATA's 2025 statistics, Uzbekistan's air passenger traffic reached 12.5 million, a 16.9% year-on-year increase, while neighboring Kazakhstan saw a 40% surge to 18.1 million passengers
The report also highlighted that the US and China remained the largest aviation markets globally, alongside a 4.5% rise in international premium travel demand
Uzbekistan Airways and China Southern finalized code-share agreement
Uzbek flag carrier Uzbekistan Airways and China Southern Airlines signed a bilateral code-share agreement covering several routes between Uzbekistan and China
The partnership includes flights connecting Tashkent with Beijing, Guangzhou, Urumqi and Hangzhou, aiming to boost transit traffic and strengthen regional connectivity
My Freighter to launch daily cargo flights ex Belgium
Uzbekistan's cargo airline My Freighter will expand its European operations with daily cargo flights exLiege Airport in Belgium starting in August 2026
The service will connect Europe with Central Asia, covering Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, using Tashkent as a key transit hub linking Europe, Central Asia and Southeast Asia

CRCEG and Silkway CA to build new logistics center in Uzbekistan
China Railway Construction Engineering Group (CRCEG) and Kazakh-Uzbek joint venture Silkway CA signed an EPC contract for the second phase of a major logistics center in the Yangiyul district of Tashkent region
The expansion adds 60,000 m² of capacity, including a 41,400 m² Class A+ warehouse and an 18,400 m² cold storage complex, as part of a $370 million project scheduled for main completion in 2027
