Air Cargo Trends
Tajikistan reported a decline in its airport passenger traffic
The Civil Aviation Agency reported an 11.8% year-on-year decrease in total passenger traffic to 2.963 million despite a marginal 1.4% reduction in flight operations in 2025
Dushanbe International Airport recorded a 7.6% drop attributed to labor migration shifts, while national carrier Somon Air defied the trend with 8.6% growth
Private Uzbek carriers is set to launch new routes to Pakistan
Centrum Air scheduled the launch of direct passenger flights ex Tashkent, Uzbekistan to Lahore, Pakistan while My Freighter will commence cargo operations to Karachi, Pakistan in April 2026
The airlines will operate the route twice weekly VV
Aero Nomad reported passenger traffic on Moscow routes
The privately-owned carrier transported 260,000 passengers on scheduled flights ex Bishkek and Osh in Kyrgyzstan to Moscow Vnukovo in Russia over the past three years
The airline operated approximately 1,500 flights using Airbus A320 aircraft while expanding its network to 19 destinations across Asia, Russia, and the Middle East
SCAT Airlines secured engine nacelle repair agreement
Kazakhstan's second-largest carrier reached an agreement with Belfast-based Short Brothers to repair the nose cowls of RB211-535 engines on its Boeing 757 fleet
The airline currently operates four Boeing 757-200s under its Sunday Airlines charter brand and emphasized access to OEM expertise for safe operationsduled the acquisition of 5 additional Boeing aircraft in 2026 to bolster its existing fleet of 9 freighters

Kyrgyzstan reported growth in its transport sector
Kyrgyzstan recorded a total cargo volume of 60.7 million tons and a turnover of 3.7 billion ton-kilometers across all transport modes
Passenger traffic reached 666.8 million with road transport accounting for 99% of the total, driven by double-digit growth in the Batken and Osh regions
Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan support Middle Corridor cooperation
Delegation from Azerbaijan Railways met with major Uzbek cargo shippers in Tashkent, Uzbekistan to discuss joint projects along the Eurasian transport route
The parties focused on increasing transit volumes and optimizing multimodal logistics utilizing Azerbaijan's modern railway and port infrastructuree
