Cathay Pacific to launch passenger and cargo flights to Kazakhstan
Hong Kong-based carrier Cathay Pacific plans to launch scheduled cargo and direct passenger flights ex Hong Kong to Astana and Almaty, Kazakhstan on 1 August 2026 and in January 2027 respectively
The new routes will operate up to five times a week using Boeing 747F freighters and Airbus A330-300 aircraft
Kazakhstan expanded air route map
IATA reports Kazakhstan's scheduled air route network grew by 48% over a decade to reach 295 destinations, with a 12% expansion over the past year alone
The regional market is currently served by 42 airlines across 22 airports, with medium- and short-haul sectors making up the majority of the network
My Freighter signed interline agreement with Singapore Airlines
Uzbekistan's cargo airline My Freighter signed its 25th interline agreement with Singapore Airlines on 11 July 2026
The partnership enables seamless cargo transfers between both carriers, giving customers greater routing flexibility and access to an extensive global network across Asia, the Pacific, Europe and beyond

Tajikistan cargo transport volumes increased
Tajikistan transported over 76 million tons of cargo across all transport modes in the first half of 2026, marking a 14% year-on-year increase
Transit cargo through the republic grew by 74% to approximately 32,000 tons compared to the same period in 2025
