Namangan Airport to open new passenger terminal
Namangan International Airport is scheduled to open a new passenger terminal with a capacity of three million travelers annually by the end of the year
The large-scale modernization project also includes a new cargo complex slated for 2027 that will help establish a unified logistics network across the Fergana Valley
Uzbekistan airlines achieve record Q1 passenger traffic
Air transport in Uzbekistan carried 2.3 million passengers during the first quarter, marking the sector's best performance since at least 2020, according to the National Statistics Committee's report for January to March 2026
This record-breaking figure highlights a massive recovery and expansion compared to the 0.6 million passengers transported by the country's airlines during the same period in 2020
Saudi consortium to build new Tashkent airport
Uzbekistan Airports and a Saudi-led consortium signed a 35-year public-private partnership agreement to build and operate a new $3 billion international airport in Tashkent by 2030, with the deal finalized on 17 June 2026
Construction on the greenfield project will begin this month, featuring two runways, a 208,000-square-meter terminal and an initial capacity of 20 million passengers and 300,000 tons of cargo annually
Nordwind Airlines to launch flights to Tashkent
Russian carrier Nordwind Airlines plans to launch direct passenger flights ex Kazan, Russia to Tashkent, Uzbekistan on 18 July 2026
The new route will operate twice a week using Airbus A321 aircraft
