Qanot Sharq launched direct passenger flights to Busan
Uzbek private airline Qanot Sharq launched direct passenger flights ex Tashkent, Uzbekistan to Busan, South Korea on 4 June 2025
The airline now operates the route twice weekly using Airbus A-330 aircraft
Centrum Air expanded its fleet with new aircraft
Centrum Air leased two A321neo long range aircraft from from global lessor AerCap becoming its first Uzbek client
The long-range jets will support network growth across Asia, Russia, and the Middle East
AZAL is set to expand Central Asia flight network
Azerbaijan Airlines adds more flights ex Baku, Azerbaijan to Almaty, Astana, Samarkand, and Urgench VV in response to rising demand

A memorandum of understanding was signed between Uzbekistan Airports and IIAC along with its aviation academy, to launch joint training programs and faculty exchange
The agreement aims to build a unified aviation education space across Asia and the CIS, starting with projects in the second half of 2025
Tashkent charter flights to be relocated to new Tashkent-East airport
All charter flights to and from Tashkent, Uzbekistan will soon operate from Tashkent-East airport, capable of year-round operations in any weather
The airport features a terminal for 100 passengers per hour and parking for 23 large aircraft, including Boeing 747s equipment
Uzbekistan and Mongolia to launch direct passenger flights
Uzbekistan and Mongolia agreed to launch direct passenger flights between Tashkent, Uzbekistan and Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia by the end of 2025
The new air route will strengthen trade, tourism, and academic exchange between the two countries

China and Kazakhstan signed rail freight deal to boost their trade
China and Kazakhstan signed a cooperation memorandum to upgrade rail infrastructure, digitize logistics, and ease customs procedures for freight to Europe via Central Asia on 24 June 2025
Record 15.4 million tonnes of Chinese cargo transited Kazakhstan, 22 % increase, with the deal aiming to boost efficiency and cut costs along the corridor
Kazakhstan is set to ratify transport deal with Turkmenistan
Kazakhstan's government submitted a draft law to ratify the strategic cooperation agreement with Turkmenistan to develop joint transport, logistics, and transit initiatives

The team will operate 24/7, coordinate with key agencies, and launch a unified digital platform to address cargo transport issues in real time
