Tajikistan’s Somon Air launches new route to Russia

  • Tajikistan’s privately owned airline Somon Air will launch direct passenger flights ex Dushanbe, Tajikistan to Mineralnye Vody, Russia starting on 30 November 2025

  • The airline will operate the weekly service using Boeing 737NG aircraft


Kazakhstan’s Alpha Sky to build MRO facility at Turkistan Airport

  • Kazakhstan’s Alpha Sky plans to construct an EASA-certified maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) complex at its base airport in Turkistan (HSA) capable of performing base maintenance up to the C-check level

  • Facility worth $25 million will accommodate two Boeing 777 aircrafts, supporting Alpha Sky’s expansion into widebody operations, including Boeing 747F freighters expected by the end of 2025


Uzbekistan’s Centrum Air expanded its fleet

  • Uzbekistan’s privately owned Centrum Air has taken delivery of an Airbus A320ceo, bringing its A320 family fleet to ten aircraft and total fleet to thirteen, including three A330-300 widebodies on 1 November  2025

  • The newly arrived aircraft leased from Irish lessor Avolon, will operate on routes across the CIS and the Middle East


My Freighter has partnered with the U.S. National Air Cargo

  • Uzbekistan’s largest cargo airline My Freighter has partnered with the U.S.-based National Air Cargo, part of the National Airlines Group operating Boeing 747 freighters

  • The agreement strengthens Uzbekistan’s cargo connectivity with the Middle East, Asia, Europe and the USA, supporting Tashkent’s role as a growing regional air cargo hub



Other News

Uzbekistan and Pakistan explored multimodal transport cooperation


  • Uzbekistan’s rail companies JSC “Uzbekiston Temir Yullari” and JSC “Temiryul Cargo” held talks with Pakistan’s SLG Trax Group Limited to explore the development of multimodal transport links between the two countries

  • The meeting focused on the Uzbekistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan corridor, container train services, logistics optimization, competitive freight tariffs and safe cargo movement, highlighting Uzbekistan’s role as a Central Asia logistics hub
