SCAT Airlines to enter air cargo market
Kazakhstan's private carrier SCAT Airlines signed an agreement with Boeing to convert a passenger Boeing 767-300ER into a Boeing 767-300BCF freighter at the Farnborough Airshow in July 2026
The airline will become the first operator of this aircraft type in the country, focusing on general and express cargo transportation between Asia, the CIS, the Middle East and Europe
Air China expanded network to Bishkek
Chinese flag carrier Air China launched direct passenger flights ex Beijing, China to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan on 18 July 2026
The new route will operate three times a week using Airbus A321 aircraft
Shohin Airlines ordered first Airbus aircraft
Tajik carrier Shohin Airlines signed its first aircraft order for two Airbus A320neo and two Airbus A321neo narrowbody jets in July 2026
The new aircraft will enable the private airline to expand beyond helicopter charter operations and launch scheduled regional and international passenger flights

New transit route to link Iran and Tajikistan via Afghanistan
Transport authorities of Tajikistan, Iran and Afghanistan signed an agreement in Mashhad, Iran to establish a new transit corridor in July 2026
The new route will facilitate the transportation of goods between Iran and Tajikistan via the territory of Afghanistan, with the first cargo shipments expected to begin within a month
